About mHub

Manufacturing, Made Accessible.

Make it with mHub.

What if getting something made was as easy as buying it online?

At mHub, we believe manufacturing should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're a business ordering precision components, a tradesperson needing a replacement part, or someone with an idea they want to bring to life, we're making it easier to get things made, right here in Australia.

We're connecting Australians directly with Australian manufacturers.

Modern manufacturing technology makes it possible to produce customised products quickly, accurately and economically. Yet accessing that technology often means navigating complicated quoting processes, expensive design software and manufacturers geared towards large production runs.

mHub is changing that.

Our platform brings local manufacturers together in one place, combining automated quoting, easy-to-use design tools and streamlined ordering to take the complexity out of manufacturing.

Upload a drawing, create a design or specify exactly what you need. mHub helps turn your requirements into something a local manufacturer can produce.

Better for customers. Better for manufacturers.

Traditional retail depends on mass production, international shipping, warehouses and multiple layers of distribution. Products travel thousands of kilometres, only for customers to compromise on size, design or functionality.

We believe there's a better way.

By connecting customers directly with local manufacturers and making better use of existing machinery, mHub aims to reduce unnecessary costs, shorten supply chains and make custom manufacturing more affordable.

For customers, that means greater choice, more flexibility and products made to suit their needs.

For manufacturers, it means access to new markets, less time spent on administration and more opportunities to put their equipment to work.

And for Australia, it means supporting local businesses, skilled jobs and a stronger manufacturing industry.

A different way to make things.

Our vision goes beyond ordering laser-cut parts or getting an instant quote.

We see a future where anyone can design, customise and order products made locally, without needing specialist manufacturing knowledge or expensive equipment.

Where small businesses can access the same advanced manufacturing capabilities as major companies.

Where products are made when they're needed, rather than manufactured in bulk and stored in warehouses.

And where getting exactly what you want doesn't have to mean paying a premium.

We're building the connection between ideas and industry.

mHub. Make it yours.

Craig "Gunners" Gunthorpe

Co-founder. Builds the quoting engine.

I'm an ex miner turned programmer, machinist and plasma operator.

I've been the Production Manager of a large steel supplier in Central Queensland, a Tube Laser facility and a Project Manager for a gearbox manufacturer.

I've been on both sides of the fence when it comes to getting parts made on time and on spec. I understand the challenges for the customer and the manufacturers.

On mHub I build the quoting engine and the file parsers: the part that reads your drawing and works out what a real shop will charge to cut it. Along with mHub I also own CSGME, a business that develops custom software for manufacturers.

David Pinkerton

Co-founder. Builds the software.

In 2011, before I moved to Brisbane, I spent a few months running a CNC plasma table at a fab shop in Cowra. That was long enough to learn what a bad drawing costs once it reaches the table: a part cut wrong, a sheet scrapped, an awkward phone call. A lot of what mHub checks before it gives you a price comes from that.

I'm also CIO at Escape Hatch. On mHub I build the software: the upload, the pricing, checkout, and the screens the shops in the network work from. If something on the site doesn't work, that's on me.

The mHub network

We have begun in North Queensland and plan to build the network out nationwide, helping customers and manufacturers get the work done no matter where they are. Every shop in it is an independent business that runs its own machines, sets its own rates and reports its own stock, so a price you are quoted is a price a real shop can hold. If you run a shop and want the work, talk to us.
